The squid jiggers XIN SHI JI 28<\/strong> and XIN SHI JI 29<\/strong> arrived at the shipyard to undergo a general maintenance program, which includes mechanical work, hull cleaning, and quality control, as part of a scheduled technical stop organized by the shipowner.<\/p>

The tasks include the disassembly and inspection of components of the propulsion and steering systems, such as the propeller, propeller shaft, rudder, and associated mechanisms, including cleaning, calibration, and the replacement of sealing elements and cathodic protection systems.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In parallel, full hull maintenance is being carried out, including hydrojet cleaning, application of paint systems on the underwater and topside areas, and repainting of regulatory markings. Work is also being done on the anchoring system, involving the cleaning and painting of chains and anchors, as well as the refurbishment of their lockers.<\/p>

The interventions are completed with quality control tests, including hull thickness measurements, chain calibration, and non-destructive testing on strategic components, all in accordance with the shipowner’s requirements and the standards established by the Argentine Naval Prefecture.<\/p>
