El Petrolero AYANE ingresó a la Grada 4 de Tandanor

The taker «Ayane», coming from Malta, entered the shipyard through the syncrolift, to carry out various repairs in its hull, propulsion system, steering and anchoring. With a length of 144 meters, the vessel has been placed on slipway 4, where the rudder blade and shaft line are being dismantled for subsequent inspection.

In the hull of the «Ayane», a thorough treatment is being carried out, both in the living and the dead work. This treatment includes a thorough washing, followed by the application of a triple paint scheme: anticorrosive, sealant, and antifouling. For the dead work, a polyurethane coat will be applied instead of the antifouling. Likewise, the interceptor valves will be checked and maintained.

In the tanker’s anchoring system, the marks will be cleaned, calibrated, and painted, and the port-bow anchor windlass will be dismantled.

Another aspect of the repair is the treatment of the slop tank, which will be carried out using the waterjet technique for cleaning and subsequent painting.

Finally, several boiler works will be carried out on the deck, including the replacement of railings, supports, and stairs, ensuring that all structural parts are in optimal conditions for safe operation.
